Your location stays under your control
Geolocation is used only when you choose to allow it.
Geolocation
We do not request access when the page loads. After you tap “My location,” your browser asks for permission. Coordinates are sent to the site only to calculate nearby places. We do not store them in the database, URLs or request logs.
Maps and external navigation
Maps on the home and category pages load automatically when they appear on screen. OpenStreetMap receives technical request data for the displayed area, including your IP address. Opening “Directions” takes you to Google Maps. The privacy policies of those external services apply.
Settings and analytics
Your light or dark theme choice is stored locally in your browser. The site does not use GA4, GTM or advertising cookies. The correction form uses a temporary session cookie to protect submissions.
Corrections and technical logs
We store the correction description you submit and, if provided, an email address for follow-up. Do not include sensitive information. To limit spam, we keep an irreversible IP address hash that changes daily. Technical logs contain the page address and request time, but not search terms, tokens or precise GPS location.
